Baltimore
At an early day, a grist mill was built south of the community of Park in Center Township and became known as Allen’s Mill Settlement. In the settlement there was a store, a distillery, a lime kiln, a pottery shop, a blacksmith, a tannery, and a quarry. During the Civil War, all the able-bodied men left to defend their country and the community of Baltimore did not survive. However, the Allen’s Mill Settlement continued for many years.
