Elliston

The village of Elliston, located in Section 21 of Fairplay Township, was never much more than a depot, a store, and a few houses.  When the White River Bridge was replaced and main road rerouted, the village was cut off.  Its legacy is that at one time, three railroad tracks crossed each other at the exact same spot, which was known as the “Triple Crossing”.
